Fido is the brand of digital wireless services offered by Fido Solutions Inc. Fido Solutions Inc., originally launched by Microcell Solutions Inc. in 1996, offers Personal Communications services (PCS) and wireless data services in major centers across Canada.
In November of 2004, Microcell was bought out by Rogers Wireless and was changed to Fido Solutions and became its subsidiary.
Fido Solutions carries handset made by Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG.
Fido has 5 different pay-as-you-go options/plans to choose from. Only Fido offers per-second billing on all monthly packages.
With the integration of the Rogers Wireless and Fido Solutions, both now offers increased in signal strength and improved coverage in Canada.

Rogers Wireless is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rogers Communications. Rogers Communications Inc., founded in Toronto, Ontario in 1920, is one of Canada’s largest communications companies, particularly in the field of wireless communications, cable television and telecommunications. Rogers Wireless is Canada’s largest wireless communications services provider, under the Rogers and Fido brand names, with 7.1 million voice and data subscribers.
Rogers Wireless , now the sole Canadian operator of a GSM-based network, was formerly known as Rogers AT&T Wireless, Cantel, Cantel AT&T Wireless.

Bell Canada Enterprises is one of the oldest and the country’s largest telecommunications in Canada. Bell Canada owed its existence to the famous father and son Alexader Merville Bell and Alexander Graham Bell.
Founded in 1880 at Montreal, Quebec by Charles Fleetford Sise. Bell Canada, Canada’s national leader in communications, provides connectivity to residential and business customers through wired and wireless voice and data communications, local and long distance phone services, high speed and wireless Internet access, IP-broadband services, e-business solutions and satellite television services.
And in 1986 BCE founded Bell Mobility, a subsidiary of Bell Canada, at Toronto, Ontario. Bell Mobility provides a complete range of innovative wireless communications services.
Bell Mobility handset lineup includes phones from LG, Motorola, Nokia, Kyocera, Samsung, Blackberry, HTC and Sanyo. Also had lineup of PDA’s.
Bell Mobility offers numerous rate plans, reception is very good and had excellent in terms of coverage.
